だれもいない 山の中の畑で
ミットクンと二人で 青い空を見ていた
空には 白い雲がゆっくりと流れていた
青い空は いいねえ
白い雲は いいねえ
すると
その白い雲は 向こうの山の頂上に近づくにつれて
少しずつ夢のように 消えてゆき
山の頂上までゆくと すっかり消えてしまった
深い青空が あるだけだった
キエチャッタ と ミットクンが言った
きえちゃった と ぼくも言った

at the garden patch
on the mountain
Mitto-kun and I
were watching
the blue sky
a white cloud
flowed
slowly
in the sky
the blue sky
isn't it pretty?
the white cloud
isn't it pretty?
then
the white cloud
as it got nearer
to a mountaintop
over there
little by little
began disappearing
like a dream
and having reached the peak
disappeared
completely
the deep
blue sky
remained
gone,
said
Mitto-kun
gone,
I, too, said
