1) INTRODUCTION:
(Why I started Web Press Happa-no-Kofu?)
I am a copy writer, and I compose catchphrases for companies in newspapers, magazines, direct mail and pamphlets. I've been doing copy writing and making plans for sales promotions in the business world of Japan for a long time. They were very interesting jobs for me and I once won a prize in a direct marketing competition. Yes, I worked hard for the advertising and business world.
On the other hand, my dissatisfaction with the world, especially Japan in which I live, is growing little by little in my mind. For example; Why don't we choose the best idea just because we have not experienced it? (Is it the most important thing to follow suit and harmonize with others? Actually we were taught about harmonizing with others in school, but not about individuality. And is it so terrible to fail something when we do a new thing?) In Japanese we say it "kotonakare-shugi=kotonakare-ism" which means to wish that nothing happens, and to maintain the present situation. We don't know much about risk and taking responsibility for someone or something. I think the reason is that we don't have enough individualist thought. We all belong to an one large group, Nippon Villaage.
Another of my dissatisfactions is; Why are we so commercialised so easily? (Are we all employees of The Japan Company? ) In Japan, especially women who are from 20 to 35 yeas old, are a very important target for the commercial market - I know it well because I made a lot of plans for them. Entertainment devices which are produced in the economic system succeed in Japan. It works very well, and it makes us spend much money. If we continue to receive and follow these devices, we may become to expect it whenever we do something. And we may forget to feel our own desire for ourselves. We seem to make a profit when we use convenient devices, but actually we may give away our freedom to the economic system. I think these matters are not just from our political, societal and economic system, but also from an each individual thought. So the problems are serious. I sometimes imagine a horror movie. It means problems don't exist only outside of us, but also inside of us.
So if we would like to live more freely , more independently and more happily, we have to live more consciously. In the same way of enjoying this convenient world, we have to become conscious of the system of this world.
And I also think we need models for good examples how to live. It is not easy to find them now, we have very few models. Looking for it is one of the reasons why I started the web press on the Internet. To express and publish good literary works is to look for good examples of life at the same time. To look for it, to express it, to convey it to someone and share it with somebody. I believe we can meet an excellent individual thought or idea in this activity, a different way from a Nippon Village or The Japan Company. This is the one purpose of our publishing on the web.
If you have some dissatisfaction in your life or your mind, you should take action, and not just complain about it. It is a very realistic solution for problems nowadays. In my case, I found my way to publish books on the Internet. We have the medium of the Internet and we can use it. It may be one good example for showing an e-Lifestyle. What do you think? If you would like to try something, you can use the internet and you can broadcast your intention. You can connect your intention and e-lifestyle. Would you like to try it and join us? We will be happy to help you. Let's work together!
