One more person who is not our member, but he was a great influence on us. He, Marek Lugowski is a poet and the president of A Small Garlic Press in Chicago and internet. Marek and I exchanged over 300 e-mails(per person) before we started Happa-no-Kofu.

Marek taught us about a nonprofit organization, web publishing, on-demand print, and poetry works. He always helped us and approved to translate and publish their works, and intorduced us the authors.

もう一人、メンバーではありませんが、いろいろ教えてもらったり影響をうけた人がいます。 マレク・ルゴウスキーさんです。マレクさんは詩人であり、シカゴとインターネット上にある ア・スモール・ガーリック・プレスの主宰者です。マレクさんとは、葉っぱの坑夫をはじめる までの何ヶ月かのあいだに、300通（×２人分）を超えるメールのやりとりがありました。

マレクさんは非営利組織やウェブ出版について、オンデマンド印刷や詩作品について、といろいろ 教えてくれた人です。いつも様々なわたしの質問に、信じられないくらいのていねいさと誠実さで 答えてくれたものです。また、ガーリックプレスの本の翻訳や出版を快く許してくれ、その著者たちを 紹介してもくれました。

マレクとわたしは、葉っぱの坑夫のために、二つの日本語の詩を英訳しました。山尾三省さんの「火を焚きなさい」 と「ミットクンと雲」です。
